World Environment Day On 5 June 2026, Class VI students celebrated World Environment Day with practical lessons and hands-on activities focused on everyday green habits. They learned the three Rs—reduce, reuse, recycle—practiced waste separation and pledged one water-saving promise after demonstrations on shorter showers, turning off taps and fixing leaks. Lessons on plant-based eating, energy-saving LEDs, avoiding single-use plastics and eco-friendly transport encouraged greener choices. Students also watched a composting demo, planted native saplings and wrote a green habit to adopt at home (examples: reusable water bottles, cloth bags, switching off lights). Classes VII and VIII joined with creative awareness activities. Class VII made eco-friendly posters, cards, and crafts—many from recycled materials—promoting water conservation, tree protection and pollution reduction. Class VIII created impactful slogans on Plastic Waste Management, such as "Say No to Plastic, Say Yes to a Greener Future" and "Choose Reuse, Refuse Plastic Abuse." The school appreciates the enthusiastic participation and urges all students and families to continue eco-friendly practices for a cleaner, greener planet.
School Marks Shaheedi Diwas with Chabeel and Community Service Today our school organized a chabeel (community water and refreshment stall) in remembrance of Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Arjan Dev Ji. The event took place on the school premises in a respectful observance of the martyrdom of the fifth Sikh Guru. The programme began with a short prayer and recitation from the Guru Granth Sahibji. This Shaheedi reminds us about Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s life, His teachings of compassion and service (seva)and His supreme sacrifice. The staff operated the chabeel, offering water, sharbat and light refreshments free of charge to visitors. The event emphasized seva and community spirit. The participants worked together in organizing, serving and maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises. The chabeel not only commemorated a pivotal day in Sikh history but also reinforced our school’s commitment to teaching values of empathy, resilience and service.
Yoga for Healthy Ageing 2026: Students Embrace Wellness Through Asanas On Sunday, 21June 2026, our school observed "Yoga for Healthy Ageing 2026" as a home-based wellness initiative. Instead of a central gathering, the school shared a clear theme message and guidance for families so students could practise safely at home. The response was warm and enthusiastic, with students across grades taking part and sharing photos and short videos of their asana practice. The theme message outlined the benefits of yoga for flexibility, balance, posture and stress management and included simple instructions and safety tips for practising common asanas such as Tadasana (Mountain Pose), Vrikshasana (Tree Pose), Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), and Trikonasana (Triangle Pose)etc. Emphasis was placed on mindful breathing (pranayama), gentle warm-ups and performing poses within one’s comfort level to avoid injury. Many students practised with family members, turning the day into a shared wellness activity. Parents helped younger children follow the guidance and several students submitted short reflections describing how yoga helped them feel calmer and more energetic. Teachers reviewed submissions and commended thoughtful technique and creative home set-ups. Although there was no on-site instructor, the school provided clear written guidance and recommended online resources for additional support. The event reinforced the school’s commitment to holistic health. Principal, Ms Mandeep Kaur appreciated the students and families for participating at home, parents for supporting safe practice and staff for coordinating the theme message and collecting student contributions.
