On 3 July 2026, teachers attended the NCERT webinar in the school on "Demystifying Air Quality: Understanding Pollution and its Health Impacts," presented by Prof. Vinayak Sinha of IISER Mohali. The session provided clear, research-backed explanations of major pollution sources - vehicular emissions, industrial discharge, crop residue burning and household activities—and described key pollutants such as PM2.5, PM10, nitrogen oxides and ozone. Prof. Sinha highlighted the short- and long-term health consequences of exposure, particularly for children, the elderly and people with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions. The webinar also introduced practical monitoring techniques and classroom-friendly activities that translate air-quality data into engaging learning experiences. Teachers reported that the presentation enriched their understanding and offered ready-to-use ideas for lessons and school programmes. Proposed next steps include integrating air-quality modules into relevant subjects, organizing student-led monitoring projects, launching awareness campaigns and poster competitions and partnering with parents to encourage cleaner commuting choices. Circle of Trust Activity – Sharing Bonds Today, during the CCA period, the primary section carried out a special character-building activity called “Circle of Trust”. The main aim was to help young students reflect on who they trust in their lives and to understand that trust is a key part of healthy relationships . All primary students were given a simple worksheet with a circle labelled “My Circle of Trust”. They were asked to think about the people who make them feel safe, supported and valued.Students discussed their choices in small groups, sharing whom they had included and why. This helped them notice that trusted adults and friends can be found at home, in school and in the community .Through the activity, students identified trusted adults such as parents, grandparents, teachers, neighbours and community helpers. It included recognising qualities of trust like listening, being kind, keeping promises and helping when someone is worried. They practised speaking clearly about their feelings and building confidence in sharing who they can turn to when they need support. The activity also reminded students that they themselves can be trustworthy by being honest, helping others and keeping promises

Surakshit Bachpan, Sashakt Bhavishya: Special Assembly on Child Rights and Safety
As part of Child Safety Month, our school organised a special assembly on 8 July 2026 under the campaign "Surakshit Bachpan, Sashakt Bhavishya" with the theme "Know Your Rights, Stay Safe." The event aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of their rights and equip them with practical safety awareness. The assembly began with an illuminating talk by the Principal, who explained that every child is entitled to key rights — education, protection, healthcare, equality and participation. Using age-appropriate examples, she highlighted how these rights support a child’s wellbeing and encouraged students to value both their own rights and those of others. Students were then guided on personal safety measures and how to recognise unsafe situations. The Principal emphasised the importance of clear, confident communication and urged children to speak to trusted adults — teachers, family members or school counsellors — whenever they feel uncomfortable or at risk. Practical tips on staying safe at school and at home were shared to help students make safer choices in daily life. Following the talk, all students took the Child Safety Pledge together. By reciting the pledge, they promised to respect their own rights and the rights of others, follow safety rules, report unsafe situations promptly and contribute to a caring, secure environment both in school and at home. The assembly concluded on an inspiring note, leaving students better informed about their rights, responsibilities and the steps they can take to stay safe. The school remains committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere where every child feels protected, heard and empowered.

Eco Club Activity of the Month: Waste and Water Awareness
This month, the Eco Club has designed age-appropriate activities to promote environmental responsibility among students. On 9 July 2026, Class VI students engaged in a “Best Out of Waste” project by creating different types of trash bins using discarded materials such as plastic bottles, cardboard pieces and old containers. This hands-on activity helped them understand waste segregation while creatively repurposing items that would otherwise end up in landfill. Class VII students focused on water conservation by designing informative posters with the theme “Save Water.” Their posters included meaningful slogans, simple drawings of taps, rivers and water droplets and clear messages encouraging responsible water use at home and school. Through this creative task, students developed a deeper awareness of water scarcity and the importance of protecting this vital resource for future generations. Class VIII took on a more advanced topic by creating posters on “Waste Disposal Management.” Their work explained the different types of waste—wet, dry and hazardous—and illustrate proper disposal methods, including the use of colour-coded bins. By combining information with attractive visuals, Class VIII students not only reinforced their own understanding of waste management but also became ambassadors who can educate others in the school and community about responsible environmental practices.
