Our little stars shone brighter than ever at the Nursery Graduation Ceremony and Annual Cultural Bonanza, Rhythms and Reverie 2026, held recently at school. The arena buzzed with excitement as families gathered to celebrate the milestones of our tiniest learners from Nursery, K.G.A, and K.G.B.
The festivities kicked off with the soul-stirring school shabad, setting a serene and spiritual tone. Principal, Ms Mandeep Kaur delivered an inspiring report, recounting the session's achievements—from academic progress and creative explorations to the holistic growth of every child.
She extended a warm welcome to our esteemed Chairman S. Amarjit Singh Ji Pinky, Senior Vice Chairman, S. Bhupinder Singh Ji Bhullar other dignitaries, and proud parents. The evening sparkled with the Sapphire Symphony, a delightful welcome dance performed by our little ones, their twinkling steps captivating all.
Certificates for K.G.A and K.G.B students were gracefully presented by the Chairman and Vice Chairman, marking the proud culmination of their kindergarten journey.
The tiny tots took centre stage with thought-provoking performances. Their presentation - 'Planet in Peril', vividly depicted Earth's environmental challenges and simple remedies to heal our planet. This was followed by a lively Mime Show on 'Team Work Makes Dream Work', showcasing the power of collaboration.
Cultural vibrancy came alive with Desert Queens in Motion, a mesmerizing Rajasthani dance in colorful attires, and Mirror Image Magic, a heartwarming Mother-Daughter Dance celebrating their unbreakable bond. The energy peaked with Punjab Pulse – Bhangra, a high-spirited performance full of joy and rhythm. The evening also featured the poignant play 'Break the Chain - End the Stain', a powerful depiction of corruption and a clarion call to eradicate it from society.
Excellence was honored with the prestigious All-Rounder Trophy sponsored by Shaheed Captain Davinder Singh Jass Memorial Trust and other significant awards presented to deserving students.
The event drew to a motivational close with inspiring speeches by Chairman Sir and Senior Vice Chairman Sir, urging the young graduates to dream big and stay united. It concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, leaving everyone with hearts full of pride and memories to cherish.

Nursery Students' Heartwarming Visit to Gurudwara Sahib
On a bright morning, our joyful nursery students embarked on a special visit to Gurudwara Sahib right here on school premises. Dressed in their neat attire, the little ones stepped into the serene space with wide-eyed wonder.
They offered heartfelt prayers, seeking blessings for health, happiness, and good studies. Through simple stories and gentle guidance, the children learned the true essence of respect for elders, nature, and each other. They also discovered the power of gratitude, expressing thanks for their families, friends, and daily joys.
Most importantly, the visit highlighted the importance of prayer as a way to connect with something greater, fostering inner peace and kindness in their young hearts.
The trip ended with beaming smiles and tiny hands folded in 'Sat Sri Akal,' leaving everyone inspired.

Special Assembly Celebrates Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Arjan Devji and Sahibzada Jujhar Singhji
On Thursday, April 9, 2026, our school hosted a heartfelt special assembly to commemorate the Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Arjan Devji, the fifth Sikh Guru, and Sahibzada Jujhar Singhji, one of the brave Sahibzadas. The event brought together students, teachers, and staff in a spirit of reverence, devotion, and cultural pride.
The assembly began with the soulful recitation of Shaloks from Shri Sukhmani Sahibji, performed by middle and senior students. Their voices filled the arena with profound devotion, creating an atmosphere of peace and spiritual reflection. This was followed by a poignant recounting of Shri Guru Arjan Devji's exemplary life his compilation of the Adi Granth, his unwavering commitment to faith, and his ultimate martyrdom as a symbol of sacrifice and resilience. The school choir led everyone in singing traditional hymns. Principal addressed the gathering, emphasizing the timeless lessons of courage, equality, and service to humanity embodied by these great figures.
The assembly concluded with the Ardas, leaving all attendees inspired to uphold Sikh values in daily life. It was a beautiful reminder of our rich heritage.
Vibrant World Book Day Celebration Ignites Creative Passion at School
On 15 April 2026, our school came alive with creativity and literary spirit during the CCA period as we celebrated World Book Day. Middle segment students crafted stunning bookmarks, showcasing intricate designs with colorful papers, quotes from favourite books and personal touches that reflected their love for reading. Meanwhile, senior segment students impressed everyone with beautifully designed book covers, incorporating artistic illustrations, patterns, and themes inspired by classic and contemporary literature.
The enthusiasm was palpable throughout the activity. Students eagerly shared ideas, collaborated with peers and proudly displayed their handmade creations, turning the CCA session into a festival of imagination. Teachers noted the high level of participation, with every student contributing unique pieces.
This event not only fostered creativity but also reinforced the importance of reading in our daily lives. The bookmarks and book covers will adorn our school library, inspiring more students to dive into the world of books.

Vibrant Baisakhi Celebration Lights Up School Assembly On 17 April 2026, our school hosted a special assembly to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, immersing everyone in the spirit of Sikh heritage and Punjabi culture. The programme kicked off with a soulful Shabad rendition that set a reverent tone. Senior students then delivered an insightful presentation on “What is Amrit” and its pivotal role in the historic formation of the Khalsa. Boys and girls enchanted the audience with melodious soulful songs, dressed in colorful traditional Punjabi attire that brought vibrancy to the stage. A short skit vividly depicted the historical significance of the day, while primary students stole the show with a high-energy Bhangra performance, showcasing the joy and traditions of Punjabi culture. This enriching celebration inspired all to embrace the path of righteousness and humanity, leaving everyone uplifted and connected to our shared values.

The Turban Tying Competition, held on Friday, 17 April 2026, in the school premises, celebrated the rich cultural heritage and traditions linked to the turban as a profound symbol of identity. On 17 April 2026, our school buzzed with excitement as we celebrated Bagless Day with tremendous enthusiasm and active participation from students of Middle Segment. This special event, aligned with the experiential learning ethos of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, ditched textbooks and bags to create a joyful, hands-on escape from routine classrooms.
The day unfolded with a exciting lineup of creative and skill-building activities:
Fireless Cooking: Students whipped up no-cook delights like salads, smoothies and sandwiches, mastering measurements and healthy eating in a fun kitchen setup.
DIY with Waste Materials: Turning trash into treasure, kids crafted useful items from recyclables, sparking innovation and environmental awareness.
Indoor Games: Laughter filled the halls with board games, puzzles and team challenges that honed strategy, teamwork and quick thinking.
Paper Craft: From origami animals to decorative bookmarks, young artists explored precision and creativity with just paper and imagination.
Roleplay: Groups brought stories to life through skits and dramatizations, boosting confidence, expression and collaborative storytelling.
These activities fostered participation, teamwork, imagination, and practical skills, leaving everyone energized and inspired. Bagless Day reminded us that learning thrives beyond books-it's in the doing!
Sunakhi Mutiyar Competition Celebrates Punjabi Heritage
Our school hosted the vibrant Sunakhi Mutiyar Competition" on 17 April 2026, to honour Punjabi culture and traditions. "Sunakhi Mutiyar" evokes the image of a beautiful, graceful young girl embodying elegance, confidence and cultural pride. The event inspired girls to embrace their roots and shine through their talents.
Girls from various classes participated enthusiastically, adorned in stunning traditional Punjabi attire. The competition featured an introduction round followed by a question-answer session, where contestants were judged on their knowledge of Punjabi culture, values and quick thinking.
Rasmeet Kaur from 9C claimed first place, while Tarshpreet Kaur from 8C secured second. The event was both entertaining and enlightening, leaving participants and spectators inspired and deeply proud of their heritage.
Earth Day 2026 Celebration Earth Day was celebrated on 22 April 2026, with great enthusiasm, aligning with the national theme "Our Power, Our Planet." Students actively participated in meaningful activities to promote energy conservation, water saving and sustainable living. On this occasion, students took a solemn pledge committing to use electricity and all energy sources responsibly without wastage, conserve water and natural resources and promote clean, green, renewable energy. They vowed to adopt sustainable daily practices and motivate others, recognizing these efforts as vital for Mother Earth and future generations. Students from classes I to X participated in tree plantation, nature walk and observation, watching effects of pollution through PPT, made beautiful and meaningful posters, slogans, creative art and did essay writing on energy saving and resource conservation. A stunning rangoli depicting Earth symbolized global unity for environmental protection. These displays fostered awareness through art and visual storytelling. The event inspired eco-consciousness, with participants motivated to sustain these habits beyond school.
Class XII Explores Antarctica at Science Centre Lecture On World Earth Day, 22 April 2026, Class XII students from our school attended an engaging lecture titled "Exploring Antarctica - a Journey to the White Continent" by Mr. Amitava Sen Gupta at the National Science Centre in Delhi. The event celebrated Earth's environment and sparked curiosity about one of the planet's most remote regions. Mr. Gupta, an experienced explorer and scientist, took the audience on a virtual adventure through Antarctica's icy landscapes. He shared stunning visuals of vast glaciers, unique wildlife like penguins and seals and extreme conditions where temperatures drop below -50°C. Students learned about ongoing research on climate change, melting ice caps and their impact on global sea levels—key topics tying into our Earth Science curriculum. The interactive session included a Q&A session where students asked about survival techniques, scientific expeditions and conservation efforts. Highlights included Mr. Gupta's stories of aurora sightings and the challenges of polar research stations. This visit inspired Class XII to think about environmental stewardship. Many noted how Antarctica's "white desert" mirrors global warming threats we study in class.

On 29 April 2026, the primary segment buzzed with excitement during the Patka Tying Competition. Students showcased their skills in this culturally significant event, tying patkas with precision and pride. The competition highlighted discipline, dexterity and house spirit among participants.

Gurpurab Celebration: Prakash Purab of Guru Amar Das Ji Our school joyfully observed the Prakash Purab of Guru Amar Das Ji, the third Sikh Guru, with deep devotion and enthusiasm. This special programme honoured his timeless teachings on equality, humility and selfless service (seva), inspiring students and staff alike. The event kicked off with a heartfelt shabad recitation by students. Their melodious voices created a serene, spiritual atmosphere, filling the hall with positivity and devotion. Students then presented a captivating life sketch of Guru Amar Das Ji. They shared his unwavering commitment to seva, his bold efforts to eradicate social inequalities like caste discrimination and his profound message of universal brotherhood. A touching poem recitation followed, with students expressing profound respect for the Guru. The verses beautifully captured his wisdom, urging all to embrace truth, kindness, and righteous living. The programme ended on a peaceful note with the recitation of six pauris from Anand Sahib Ji, leaving everyone uplifted and connected to Sikh values. This enriching celebration made a lasting impact, motivating our school community to embody Guru Amar Das Ji's noble principles in daily life.
Student Shines at Sikh Chetna Mission's Annual Gurmat Written Test
On 22 August 2025, the Sikh Chetna Mission office at Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib organized its Annual Gurmat Written Test, where our talented student Bhavaya Kumari from Class VIII A excelled impressively.
Today, 30 April 2026, prizes were distributed during a special ceremony. Bhavaya was awarded Grade 87, along with a cheque of ₹6,000 and a certificate for her outstanding performance.
Adding to the school's honour, our teacher representative, Ms. Sarabjeet Kaur, was felicitated with a shawl and a trophy on behalf of the school.
