ANOTHER FEATHER IN THE CAP OF GYMNASTIC TEAM

A CBSE NATIONAL Gymnastic Championship was held at Hyderabad from 22nd Dec 2022 to 26th December 2022. Manthan from class 11B participated with full vigor & achieved a silver medal in Vaulting horse & a Bronze in Pomel horse . Congratulations to our young gymnast! A CBSE National Badminton Championship was held at Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan from 13th Jan 2023 to 16th Jan 2023.
Aadya & Baani participated in the event.


THE GHPS SPORTS TEAM SHINES AGAIN

CBSE Badminton Zonal Tournament was held at Mamta Modern Senior Secondary School from 7th Dec 2022 to 12th Dec 2022. Our girls team participated enthusiastically & bagged a Gold Medal in the under 14 category.The team comprised of Japleen kaur, Addya & Baani. The 61st Delhi State Gymnastic Championship was held at IG Stadium from 10th Dec to 12th Dec 2022. Manthan from class XI B gave a thunderous performance & brought laurels to school by winning a silver medal in Pomel horse, Vaulting table& All round exercise ; and a bronze medal in Floor exercise, Parallel bar& Horizontal bar. Congratulations to all the winners!


Bala Pritam Inter School Kho-Kho tournament was conducted at GHPS,Hemkunt Colony,under the aegis of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee on 18November2022. Our boys team demonstrated top class sporting skills, strength & agility and won the FIRST POSITION in the final round. The winners were awarded certificates and a trophy. Congratulations to the team!


THE MUSIC TEAM BRINGS LAURELS TO SCHOOL
Mata Sundri College organized an Inter School Kirtan Competition on 16 November,2022 in which 15 schools from different schools of Delhi had participated. Our Primary team secured FIRST POSITION & received a cash prize of 5100/ The Secondary group got THIRD POSITION & received a cash prize of 2100/. Fateh Singh of Class IV-D was declared the BEST TABLA PLAYER & was awarded a cash prize of Rs500/ The students also received certificates & trophies. Kudos to the team!


To imbibe value education and provide a platform to students of all ages, a Bani Competition was organised by Mata Sundri College on 15th November 2022 on the uchharan of Salok Mehla9 . Our school participated with full religious fervor and got SECOND Prize in the competition. A special prize was awarded to Manav of class VD for reciting Salok Mahalla 9 with fluency and purity, in spite of being a non sikh. Congratulations to the winners!


S.Inder Singh Kohli Memorial 5th Inter School Gurbani Kirtan Competition was organized by Mata Gujri Public School at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha ,G.K I on 10th November,2022. Our enthusiastic music team participated with full religious fervor & secured THIRD POSITION in the senior category out of 13 teams. The team was awarded with individual trophies & certificates.

Music Team bring laurels to school
An Inter-School 16th Annual Kirtan Competition 2022 was organised by the Management Committee Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha ,Greater Kailash-II,in memory of Pant Ratan Giani Sant Singhji 'Maskeen,' at GK-II,Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha on 16th October2022. Our school Music Team qualified the Semi- final round and bagged FIRST POSITION out of 18 teams, in the final round of the Middle Team Category. Each team was required to follow the Gurbani Kirtan parampara(tradition)&strictly adhere to the parameters&rules of the competition. The melodious presentation of shabad kirtan ,in accordance to the raag, was highly appreciated by everyone. The winning team,comprising of eight students,was awarded with certificates,special trophies & a cash prize of 15,000. Heartfelt Congratulations to all!


An Online Quiz Competition was held on 16 January 2022, to mark the 552nd Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Students from classes V to VIII participated in this quiz. The following are the prize winners of this competition.

CBSE RESULT CLASS X & XII (2020-21)

Online Competition 'Sach Likhiye Vichar' was organised by The Divine Ladders, where Arnav Gupta, from Class III D, was certified by participating certificates.


An Inter-District Cultural Competition 2019-20 was held at R.P.V.V Civil Lines, Delhi organised by Director of Education, Delhi. It is the matter of great Pride for the school that Sukhsimrat Singh of class 8B participated in Punjabi Poetry Competition (Jr. boys) on 11 December 2019 and received third prize, cash price of Rs. 500 and a certificate. Gungun of class 8A participated in light Music Competition (Jr. Girls) and was awarded with second prize, a certificate and cash price of Rs. 750 on 11 December 2019.


Abacus National level championship was held on 26 November 2019. Ansh Varun of class 2B was declared the National Champion. He was awarded with a cash price of Rs. 5100. Bhavneet Kaur of class 5A got first position in Divinity Zonal Competition (Naitik Shiksha) and was awarded with a cash price of Rs. 1500. Manandeep of class 5 B got third position in Divinity Zonal Competition (Naitik Shiksha) and was awarded with a cash price of Rs. 1000.


National Sikh games were organised by Jap Jaap Seva Trust from 9th to 12 January 2020. It is a matter of great Pride that Meharpreet Kaur of class 9 was awarded with a silver medal, securing second position in Athletics. she was also given a railway ticket from Delhi to Amritsar.


Judo Championship was organised at National Bal Bhavan on 1st January 2020. Rakshit of 6B won silver medal in this championship.


Bhai Veer Singh Sahitya Sadan honoured students getting first second and third position in Punjabi Subject. last year this program was held in Bhai Veer Singh sahitya Sadan in December. The following students made the school proud by winning first position in Punjabi as subject in class 6 in the academic year 2018-19.

A Quiz on Chaar Sahibzaade was conducted by Sardar H.P. Singh and his team in the school on 13 December 2019. Prizes were given to the winners . Gursharan Kaur of 7B translated ASA Di Vaar and she was awarded with MP3 player.


Sukhsimrat Singh(8B) & Simran Kaur (XI) participated in 3rd Inter-School Lecture Competition held on 4th December 2019. Sukhsimrat Singh bagged Second position and was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 3000. Simran kaur secured third position and was given a cash prize of Rs.1000



Kanishk Dagar of class 11-A participated in 65th National school games and got silver medal in boxing. Akshara of class 9A participated in 65th National school games and won bronze medal in team championship in gymnastics. This championship was held from 10th November to 14th November 2019 in Agra.


Students who had participated in Inter-school Bani recitation and shabad rendition competitions and had brought laurels to school in the form of outstanding positions were awarded by the school Principal Ms Mandeep Kaur.


District level Band Competition was held at Bal Bharti Public School, Rajinder Nagar on 24 October 2019. The school band team participated and bagged third position.


An Inter-GHPS Poetry Recitation Competition was organised at GHPS, Fateh Nagar on 24th October 2019. Bhavneet Kaur of class 5 participated and bagged second position.


An Inter- GHPS Hindi Poem Recitation Competition was organised in the school on 21 October 2019 . Ritu Katihar from Saraswati Bal Mandir, Mehrauli and Senior Teacher from GHPS India Gate Ms Jaswinder Kaur were the judges. The topic of the competition was Mother and Nature. First position was bagged by Gurmehar Kaur of GHPS, Hargobind Enclave, Second position Gurneel Singh GHPS, India Gates and 3rd position GHPS Kalkaji. Team Trophy was won by GHPS Hargobind Enclave.


Kamal Model Senior Secondary School, Mohan Garden, New Delhi hosted this year's prestigious CBSE athletic meet 2019 at Chhatarshal stadium on 14th and 15th October 2019. It is a matter of great Pride for the school that Jasleen Kaur participated in shot put and discus throw and won gold medal in shot put and bronze medal in discus throw. She has been selected for CBSE nationals in shot put.


The school hosted an Inter-GHPS Volleyball Tournament (Sr Boys under 19 category) from 16 October to 18 October 2019. The school Principal Ms. Mandeep Kaur, Vice Principal Ms H.K Walia , Physical Education teachers and all participants were present at the opening ceremony . The tournament was organised to encourage more and more student participation in sports and physical activities. The Principal addressed the gathering and emphasized on the importance of games and sports for physical development and declared the meet open. The final match was played between GHPS, Karol Bagh and GHPS, Vasant Vihar. The match was won by GHPS, Vasant Vihar and was awarded with gold medals and trophy. The first runner-up team GHPS, Karol Bagh was awarded with a trophy and silver medals


Shabad Kirtan Competition was held at Guru Nanak Public School, Punjabi Bagh on 4th October 2019. Students from Primary and Middle segments participated in the competition. It is a matter of great Pride for the school that both the teams bagged first prize and were awarded with cash prize, certificates and trophies.


Inter GHPS Fancy Dress Competition was conducted by GHPS Tilak Nagar on 27 August 2019. Ekroop Kaur of Class I bagged the second prize in the competition.


Girls Table Tennis Team of the school made us proud by winning gold medal in an Inter- GHPS Table Tennis Tournament held at GHPS Hargobind Enclave on 23 Aug 2019. The final match was played between GHPS India Gate and GHPS Hargovind Enclave.


Inter-GHPS Badminton Tournament 2019 was held at GHPS ,Punjabi Bagh from 23rd July to 25th July 2019. Girls Badminton team of our school got second position.


Sidakpreet Kaur of class 11 made the school proud by winning 3rd prize in Inter-School English Debate Competition hosted by Crescent School Daryaganj held at Aiwan-e-Ghalib, Mata Sundri Lane New Delhi on 18 July 2019.

Annual Gurmat Written Test was organised by Sikh Chetna Mission in December 2018 at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib Ji. It is a matter of great Pride for the school as Pratham Agarwal (9A), Pawanjeet Singh (9C), Meher Preet Kaur (9 A) and Harjap Singh (7C) appeared in this test and were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 6000 each and a certificate of appreciation for their meritorious performance in the test.


Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India organised a letter writing competition on Dhai Akhar - letter to my motherland . Vibhabri of class 11 made the school proud by participating and winning first prize in this competition. She was awarded with a cash price of Rs. 25,000 and a certificate of appreciation.






The School won the Best Presentation Award in the Inter-School Competition organised by Lung Care Foundation. Presentation on Waste Disposal Management was submitted in January 2019 by our students.


All India Abacus and Vedic Maths Exam was conducted it is a matter of great Pride for the school as Pratham Agarwal of our school secured highest percentage in the exam and became National champion in vedic maths. He received a cash prize of Rs. 5100.


GHPS, India Gate is proud of its student, Esow India's star cyclist and ranked World No 1 and winner of three gold medals in recently concluded Asian Track Championship in Jakarta. He was awarded President's medal at Rashtrapati Bhawan by Hon'ble President of India, Sh.Ram Nath Kovind. Proud moment for GHPS, India Gate and the Cycling Federatin of India.


Vaibhabri of Class X from GHPS, India Gate brings laurels to the institution by grabbing the FIRST POSITION in the NATIONAL Level 'Dhai Akhar' Letter Writing Campaign organised by Ministry of Communications. She has won a Cash Prize of 25,000/-


Super Hero, Bilal Ahmad Dar of our school took part in Asia Cycling championship held at Jakarta, Indonesia. He Bagged 2nd position in Individual pursuit men junior 3Km and 3rd position in Team pursuit men junior 4km.


India's dominance in junior section continues as Ronaldo stunnned the whole stadium with the Gold in men junior 1000m time trial.Team India bags all the sprinting Golds in men junior section till third day thus leading the medal table with three Golds one silver and two bronze.Hoping to create history of all sorts in Asian Cycling with two more days to go.


What a day for Indian Cycling! After dominating in sprinting events, Team India reached the podium in endurance events too. First time in Indian Cycling history, Team India won two medals - one silver and one Bronze in Men Junior Scratch Race and Team Pursuit respectively. Venkappa secured silver in Scratch Race. Of course the hero of the day was Esow who claimed Gold in Keirin event in Men Junior and Trishiya Paul won Bronze in 500m Time Trial.

Universal (International) Postal Union letter writing competition 2018 was held on 7 Jan 2018. It was organised by Ministry of Communication Department of Posts. It is a matter of great Pride for the school that Gargi Wadera of class 10 got consolation prize of Rs 1,000. The topic of the competition was "Imagine you are a letter passing through the passage of time. What changes you have faced and what message you want to convey to your readers."


An Inter- GHPS Kirtan Competition was held at Guru Nanak Public School, Punjabi Bagh on 25 Oct 2018. Our middle segment students got 2nd position and Senior segment 3rd position.


An Inter -GHPS Handball (Girls) Tournament was held at GHPS Loni Road. First position was bagged by GHPS, Loni Road and second position was secured by GHPS, India Gate .


PROUD MOMENT for GHPS, India Gate, Kanishk Dagar of Class X bagged the GOLD MEDAL at the CBSE Boxing Championship (Zonal), under 56 kg weight category, held at Presidium School, Ashok Vihar on 11 October 2018. It is a matter of great pride for the school as he has been selected for the NATIONAL Boxing championship.


Inter GHPS kho-kho boys tournament was held at GHPS Hemkunt colony. Final match was played between India Gate and Hargobind Enclave.Our school bagged first position. Rachit Singh of class 8 D has won 'Player of the Tournament'.

Inter GHPS Advertisement Enactment Competition was oraganised at GHPS Karol Bagh on 21 Aug 2018. Our School team won the I position.


India's Cycling sensation ESOW, listed Top Ranked Junior Sprint Rider on the latest world ranking of the last UCI ranking list published on 26th July 2018. He also ranked 3rd in the Keirin event while India's team sprint climbs to third place in UCI junior world ranking of track events.

It is a matter of great pride for the school as our student Master Esow ( 17 years old), an Indian cyclist, created history by winning II rank in the current junior world rankings .The performances of Rojit and Ronaldo were equally matching though just 16 yrs of age.They are the future World Champions.


Under the aegis of GHPS (New Delhi) Society, Inter GHPS Debate Competition was organized at GHPS Vasant Vihar on 16 May 2018. It was conducted with the aim to promote oratory skills and Critical thinking among the students. The pertinent topic for the same was: " Social Media is capturing Creative Brilliance of young minds".
11 teams from different branches of GHPS across Delhi participated in the competition. The winners were judged on the basis of their content, language , pronunciation & time management. It is a matter of great pride for our school as Ayush ( X-B) and Ansh (X-B) bagged 1 and II position respectively. School team won II position. Our School Principal Ms D.K. Dhingra lauded the efforts of our students for their brilliant performance.


Kawalpreet Singh of class 5 B made us proud by participating in 2 nd Inter School Competition held at Sri Guru Granth Sahib Vidya Kender on 2 May 2018. He secured III position and was awarded with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 2100/- .


A Very Proud Moment for GHPS Fraternity . Gurpreet Kaur of class XI A has brought laurels to the school. She participated in Gavo Sachi Bani- Gurbani Sangeet competition. She was selected in top 8 from over 250 participants from all over Delhi. She further bagged tenth position among 52 participants from all over India.She won a trophy , a cheque of Rs 7100/- and a certificate . We wish her heartiest congratulations and lot of success ahead.

A Prize distribution ceremony was organized by Bhai Vir Singh Sahitya Sadan on 12 December 2017 for Class VI Toppers in Punjabi subject . Pratham Aggarwal secured I position and was awarded with a certificate and cash prize. Dushleen Kaur and Pawanjeet Singh secured II position and III position respectively .They were awarded with certificates.

Shyan Sharma of class X won Six medals - Gold in the Ring & Floor Exercise, Silver in High Bar & Table Vault and Bronze in Pommel Horse & Parallel Bar. He was also awarded a Gold medal for his all round performance.

Bilal Ahmad Dar, our student from Budgam, Kashmir won four Gold medals in the National Cycling championship. He is currently preparing for 2020 Olympics.


Manthan singh of Vl-A participated in Delhi State Gymnastics Competition, under ten boys category won Gold medal in Floor Exercise and Silver medal in Table Vault. He bagged Gold medal for his all round performance.


Inter GHPS Kho Kho (boys) Tournament was held at GHPS Hargobind Enclave fron 15 Nov. 2017 to 17 Nov. 2017. The school Kho Kho team made the school proud by winning First position . They were awarded with gold medals and a Trophy.


GHPS, India Gate is proud of Gurpreet Kaur of Class XI and Manpreet Kaur, an Alumnus, for bringing laurels to the Institution by qualifying for the Mega Auditions of GAVO SACHI BANI. The Preliminary Rounds were held at Mata Sundri Auditorium on 17 November 2017. Out of 150 participants only 8 students have been selected and 2 of them are from GHPS, India Gate.

GHPS, India Gate to be Conferred with British Council International School Award 2016-17
A mail from the British Council turned 31st August 2017 into a day of jubilation for the management, staff & students of Guru Harkrishan Public School, India Gate. The school has been successful in its endeavour to be conferred with the prestigious British Council International School Award 2016-17, which is given by the Queen of England. The school embarked on its ISA journey in August 2016 & the Dossier was submitted in June 2017. In this year long voyage, the school undertook seven major projects, out of which three were in collaboration with foreign countries. The school partnered with many countries like USA, Nigeria, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal & Bangladesh. The entire strength of the staff & students actively participated in the activities. It is a matter of great pride that the school has been successful at every stage - right from its inception to its completion _ in its first attempt. This award is valid for the period 2017-2020 & gives the school to use the ISA mark. The award will be formally presented to the school in a ceremony later this year.


A Road Safety Quiz Competition was organised in the school for Senior Segment on 31 August 2017 in which Vimal Kumar (XII -A), Mohd Mehran (XII c), Ishaan Chauhan (XII C) and Prakhar (XI C) bagged I position , II Position , III position and Consolation prize respectively.


Students of GHPS India Gate participated in Hindi One _ Act Play Gender Equality at the zonal level held at Vidya Bhawan Mahavidyala, lodhi Estate. Students brought laurels to the school by winning I position in the competition . Now students will participate in the district level competition.


It was a matter of great pride for the school that a student , Kudrat Kaur Virdi stood first in humanities stream in class XII (2016-17) among all the 13 branches of Guru Harkrishan Public schools (New Delhi). She was honoured at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib on 18 July 2017 by DSGMC President S. Manjit Singh G.K with a gold medal, certificate of appreciation, cash prize of Rs 2100 , set of holy books and a shawl for her hard work and achievement.

Kanishk of class IX - D won first position in Dada Dev Challenge Cup , Sub Junior State Boxing Championship, in 52 - 54 Kg category held at Palam from 13 March to 17 March 2017. Our school principal Ms. Davinderjeet Kaur Dhingra conferred a gold medal and a certificate to the young boxer.


Kanwalpreet Singh of 3 A participated in Turban Tying Competition at Jhilmil colony Gurudwara on 11 February 2017 and won the third position He received a cash prize of Rs.500 and a wrist watch.

Times NIE National Aptitude Challenge 2016-2017 for classes VI -X was held in school on28 November 2016. All students of Classes VI -X attempted the test. Amberdeep Singh Anand of Class7B and Abdul Samad of Class X D were declared toppers of Category1 Classes 6 to 8 and Category2 Classes 9 to10 respectively. Both achievers were awarded with aTablet and Certificate.


All India CBSE School,s Gymnastics Championship was held from 11th to 14th November 2016. Performance of our school,s gymnastics team was outstanding. Shyan Sharma won one Silver and one bronze medal in MAG event in the age group under 19 years. It is a matter of great honour and pride that our school,s medal winning team in category men artistic gymnastics (MAG) has been selected to participate in the National Gymnastics Day cash Award MAG, WAG and RG Apparatus Championship 2017 to be organized by National Sports Academy from 29th to 31st January 2017.

An Inter- GHPS Quiz Competition Quiz-O-Mania was held at Mata Sundri College Auditorium, New Delhi on 16 December 2016. The event was organized under the aegis of Guru Harkrishan Public School (New Delhi) Society, with an aim to encourage the students to appreciate the value of researching and reading books. The welcome address was delivered by Col. Jasbir Singh Nirmal, director, Education Cell. Our school was represented by Avneet Singh Sohi X-A, Prakhar Srivastava X-B and Hirday Sehgal IX-A. The participants had to go through mind boggling rounds consisting of questions related to history, sports, books, languages, Vocabulary and science. At the end of the exuberating Quiz Competition, our school team bagged second position. Three students of our school also got audience prize. The winners were given trophies and certificates. It was a very informative and knowledge enriching competition. Our school team displayed ecstatic spirit and enjoyed the quiz to the fullest.


We congratulate Vashnavi Sharma of class VIII-C as her Hindi Essay has been shortlisted in the competition conducted by Indian Science Congress Association in Nov 2016.


Inter-GHPS Declamation Competition was held at GHPS, Hemkunt Colony on 29 November 2016. The event was organized under the aegis of Guru Harkrishan Public School (New Delhi) society with the aim to promote oratory skills and critical thinking among students. The pertinent topics for the same were:

  1. SWACHCHH Bharat Abhiyaan and its relevance
  2. experience of being in Guru Harkrishan Public School
  3. Roots and Wings of Youth
  4. Social Media _ A Health and Safety Hazard
Eleven teams from different branches of GHPS across Delhi participated in the competition. Our school was represented by Prakhar Srivastava X-B and Harmeet Kaur X-B. The audience was impressed by the confidence exhibited by the students as they voiced their opinion in strong and powerful words in the competition where each student tried to outshine the other to the best of his/her ability.
The winners were judged on the basis of their content, language, action, pronunciation and time management. It is a matter of great pride for our school as Prakhar Srivastava clinched II position and the school team bagged I position. The winners were awarded with trophies and certificates. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Jasmeet Kaur, Principal, GHPS, Hemkunt Colony emphasized that such competitions help the students to improve their communication skills and learn the new ways of presenting their thoughts. The competition was so informative that every student had something to take back home and ponder over. Our school Principal, Mrs. Davinderjeet Kaur Dhingra lauded the efforts of our students for their brilliant performance.


Inter Zonal Gymnastics Championship 2016 was organized at Sarvodya Bal Vidyalay , Moti Nagar from 23 Nov 2016 to 29 Nov 2016. Our school children made us proud by winning many medals Shayan Sharma of IX-C bagged 3 gold ,1 silver and 1 bronze . Paras of VIII won 1 gold in different events in Gymnastics. We wish them glorious success in future.

At the CBSE CLUSTER ATHLETICS Gaganjit Singh of class XII won SILVER medal and shall be participating in the NATIONALS to be held at Vadodra


Ishmeet Singh & Yashika Bisht of Class IV bagged the First Position in the Zonal English Recitation Competition in the Primary Boys & Primary Girls category. Gurneel Singh of Class V won the Second Position in the Zonal Hindi Recitation Competition in the Primary Boys category. Prisha Rana of Class IV won the Third Position for girls in the same category. The competition was held on 11 Nov 2016 at SV(Co-ed) School, Kitchner Road, New Delhi.


GHPS, India Gate participated in various competitions on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Mater Dei Convent School, New Delhi. Our students showcased their talent in a Hindi Nukkad Natak and grabbed II Position. Anupreet Kaur and Mansika brought laurels to the school by securing II position in Rangoli Competition. Lakshita did the school proud by bagging I position in Poetry Recitation. The school was adjudged as The Best School for Excellent Performance in various competitions, and conferred with the Rolling Trophy.


It was a moment of conceit for the school when our school team secured II position in the District Level Band Competition 2016. It was hosted by the school on 25 October 2016. All the schools presented a good show. Our school team exhibited great team work and coordination in their presentation.
